PowerPoint can be a very useful tool in presenting an object or idea of importance. But if used wrongly, it can be a train wreck and totally ruin the image of what is being presented. Several things can make a PowerPoint be useless or hard to follow and understand or just not plain interesting. Some of these include having the slides out of order, having very bad color schemes, not using pictures so the people being presented to cannot get a good idea of what is being presented, having missing slides, and having a slide or slides that do not pertain to the presentation.
But aside from those, a PowerPoint presentation can be very useful. When a person comes up with an idea for his company to branch out and take community service opportunities to make the company look good, a PowerPoint is a perfect way to deliver his speech. He can make the slides flow very well between each other by making his wording impressive, yet still easy to follow. Pictures can be presented to show some of these opportunities. Graphs can be added that show how much the good public image of the company will increase. By using a PowerPoint, the presenter's ideas can be very focused and organized, he can cover one topic at a time and answer questions or dispel any doubts before moving on to discuss other topics. By doing this, he will surely impress the people he is presenting to.
